Renewable Recruits is a Vancouver Island-based private company, formed in April 2007.
Our Mission: To assist Students, Workers, Schools, Government and Industry in building a profitable and fair sustainable energy economy in Canada.
Renewable Recruits is a monthly contributor to RenewableEnergyWorld. Read previous articles about sustainable energy news and opportunities in Canada.
We also work together with WorkCabin in a cross-promotional partnership, to boost each other’s visibility across Canada’s wide East-West market, and help more people find sustainable careers.
Sustainable Energy: Includes Renewable Energy (clean, inexhaustible power sources) and Energy Efficiency (using and designing for more intelligent power use)
Sustainable energy is one of the World’s fastest growing industries, with the highest potential for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and our reliance on oil & gas. It also carries the promise of clean electricity, thermal energy and transport for populations currently without these benefits. Educated, motivated people are needed to help power it forward.
Randyn Seibold is an active member of the BC Sustainable Energy Association, currently Volunteer Co-ordinator with the Victoria Chapter. He has experience as an electrical apprentice (including photovoltaics), writer, in sales & promotions, and networking strategies. Helping companies find the right people and workers find their place in clean energy careers is his main goal.

Nice site. Very pro. Good to see real installations and applications, gives the impression this is real and happening now.
Not sure what I can add at this point but will follow the progress of the site and offer any feedback I feel is useful.
Being in the industry it could be noted that currently qualified trades people (primarily electricians, plumbers) can get in on the ground floor by becoming dealers for existing pv and solar thermal companies.
Thanx for your good works
Hi Randyn:
Thanks for sending the site address. It is an impressive start. We need some action in the alternative energy area in BC. Maybe this will be the catalyst. Keep up the good work.
Great site Randyn - and much needed in BC/Canada. Thanks for doing this!
Randyn:
Your service is a timely addition to the fast growing renewable electricity sector in BC.
I will keep it in mind when any of our 300 renewable energy IPP member companies is recruiting.
If you want to raise you profile with them directly call me about our Nov 4 - 6 conference in Vancouver. It is the largest industry gathering each year. I expect well over 400 attendees this year since 200 have already registered.

Way to go, Randyn!
I note that CityGreen has teamed up with Malaspina U-C to offer three courses this fall as well. Yeah, your home town, no less!
Ian.
Randyn:
that’s a great project you started. It’s good to see that you partnered up with Renewable Energy Access from across the border, as I think it’s important to bring US workforce into BC, to grow the Canadian (RE) economy.
Regarding partnering up–Connecting Environmental Professionals is another connection to look into. I’m happy to link you up; call me if you’re interested.
Randyn - I am impressed by the forward-thinking approach of Renewable Recruits. In addition to the range of opportunities for developers and investors, renewable energy industries will open new doors for good jobs. I think one of the most exciting aspects about these jobs is the great feeling that comes from being involved with providing much needed sustainable, clean energy. Different jobs will be available at each stage: from development to construction and into operations. There is a growing need for educated and skilled people to design, build and operate the energy facilities of the future - engineers, electricians, opertors and so on. Right now, firms such as ours are looking to add to our professional biologists and natural resource technicians, as environmental assessment and monitoring is an ongoing requirement to ensure that this growing industry is truly sustainable.
